All of us were watching the amazing sunset from the island.
Old, young, from all different countries, rich and poor.
All in awe.
Since I became a believer, I’ve told my kids that God paints the most beautiful pictures.
What is it about beauty that touches all of us so deeply?
There were beautiful grand cottages with manicured lawns and gardens.
Places designed to rejuvenate and heal the soul.
A bench looking out over the water.
Clouds of all shapes and sizes gently changing the scene minute to minute.
Waves rolling in and crashing on the shore.
No two exactly alike.
Was the blessing I received unique to me?
Yes, but God’s beauty can be seen all around us if we open our eyes.
If we seek to find it, it is not far from us.
I connect to God through nature.
Living most of the time in a city, I’ve been known to look on the satellite view of maps to find green spaces.
Just gazing upon trees, flowers or nature of any kind fills my heart.
We were designed by a God who loves beauty.
And who is so incredibly beautiful.
I’m so thankful to Him for this day and the glimpses of his beauty that He allowed me to see.
I took the picture above and it will always remind me of God’s beauty.
