Searching for God

I still remember the day I created this picture. I remember right where I was sitting and it was many years ago. This picture represents your path through life. The shovel represents the tools we’ve been given that we use to go into the world to get what we think we need. The holes represent all of our attempts throughout life to find that “thing” that we believe will fill the emptiness we feel inside. After searching in each hole we find a shape, but none of them are the shape of the hole that represents the emptiness we have inside. After a lot of searching and a lot of pain, I did finally find the shape that filled that emptiness. Little did I know that God, not a religion, was the One who was designed to fill that hole and fill it perfectly. Not only did He fill that emptiness, He gave me more than I could ever imagine. He gave me so much, that I feel compelled to share it with others. Our God has invited us into relationship with Him and I pray that He would also open up your eyes and heart to the reality of His presence so that you too can find what you’ve been searching for.
