God wants what’s best for us.
The Bible tells us what’s best for us.
We rebel against God and want what we want.
We go against God and break His laws.
This separates us from God for eternity.
God provides a plan to restore our relationship with Him.
Jesus is His plan.
Jesus is God the Son.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all One and have always been in a perfect relationship.
God allowed Jesus to come to earth and ultimately to be mocked, whipped, beaten and nailed to a cross on which He died to restore our relationship with Him.
God also placed all of the evil that we have ever done in the past, do now or will do in the future on Jesus.
Jesus died under this crushing weight for us, before we were born.
God miraculously brought Jesus back to life after He died.
This act of obedience to the Father and miracle of His resurrection were foretold many years before.
By believing this reality, our relationship with God is restored and we are born again.
God the Holy Spirit comes to live in us and we are given an incredible hope.
Our hope is not a wish, but a deep and abiding trust in God’s promises.
The cross is the symbol that reminds us of these truths.
Our faith in these truths allows us to do what we could not do on our own.
To love, forgive, and provide encouragement.
All while the world around us shouts! Be afraid, protect yourself, guard your possessions, your time and your life.

After being asked what the greatest commandment was in Matthew 22:36-40 Jesus said: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
